Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Surgical Technician to support operating room activities during surgeries. You will assist a Registered Nurse, manage equipment, and help ensure a safe, efficient OR environment.

You’ll handle supplies for a specific service line and coordinate between the service line, surgeons, and team members. Responsibilities include prepping the OR, maintaining instrument tables, counting instruments, and ensuring sterilization and infection control standards are

Qualificações

• Graduate of an Accredited Program.
• 2 Years of Experience is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire or transfer.
• Certification: Surgical Technologist (CST) with NBSTSA/NCCT requirements.

Responsabilidades

• Assist surgeon and prepare the operating room before procedures.
• Clean and prepare the surgical area; ensure instrument table is maintained and organized.
• Ensure all instruments and equipment function properly during procedures.
• Perform counts of sponges, sharps, and instruments according to policy.
• Provide sterile supplies during surgery and anticipate surgeon needs.
• Assist with patient draping and repositioning as required by the team.
• Adhere to infection control policies and OSHA guidelines.
