Job summary

Intermountain Health in Grand Junction, CO, is seeking a Surgical Technologist for full-time roles in the Operating Room at St Marys Regional Hospital. Candidates may be considered at Level II or III depending on experience; a $10,000 sign-on bonus or relocation assistance may be available.

The position supports surgical operations, maintains sterile technique, and collaborates with the surgical team under RN supervision. The role offers 40 hours per week with varied shifts.

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers.
• Completion of an accredited Operating Room Technician (ORT) program, or graduates from a non-accredited program within the past six months; two years of scrub tech experience in hospital/military ORs; international training eligible to work in the U.S.
• Competent in basic procedures or one or more specialty areas/facility case mix.
• Able to take assigned call.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the sterile field and ensure sterilization criteria for the operating room and all items.
• Prepare the operating room and instruments for the procedure.
• Assist the surgeon during the procedure within the ORT scope of practice.
• Assist with room turnover and prepare for the next procedure.
• Support advancement pathway to ORT II, III and IV.
