Surgical Technologist – Labor & Delivery (Full-Time | Night Shift)

Overview:

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Surgical Technologist to join their Labor and Delivery team during the night shift. In this role, you will play a critical part in preparing and maintaining a safe, sterile environment for obstetric surgeries and procedures, ensuring readiness of surgical equipment, and supporting both surgeons and anesthesiologists during operative care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support physicians during deliveries and surgical procedures by passing instruments and maintaining the sterile field.
• Prepare operating rooms with the necessary instruments, equipment, and supplies ahead of each procedure.
• Confirm all surgical tools are cleaned, sterilized, and functioning properly before and after use.
• Assist with regional anesthesia procedures as directed by anesthesiology staff.
• Participate in staff meetings and contribute to ongoing quality improvement efforts within the department.

Qualifications:

• Education: Completion of an accredited surgical technology program or equivalent vocational training.
• Certification: Current certification in Surgical Technology from an accredited board such as NBSTSA is required.
• Other Requirements: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be current.
• Experience: Previous experience in a surgical or obstetric setting is preferred; entry-level candidates with clinical training will also be considered.
