Job Summary

PT SURGICAL TECH, 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM (VARIOUS DAYS) AT HUNTERSVILLE MEDICAL CENTER

The Surgical Technologist works under the supervision of a surgeon and registered nurse to facilitate the safe and effective conduct of invasive surgical procedures. Responsibilities include ensuring a safe operating room environment, proper functioning of equipment, and conducting procedures that maximize patient safety. Surgical technologists possess expertise in sterile and aseptic techniques, human anatomy, surgical procedures, and the use of relevant tools and technologies to support physicians during invasive diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Qualifications

• Certification: Current Surgical Tech Certification preferred. New graduates must obtain certification within 12 months of hire if not certified at hire.
• Skills: Ability to complete competency testing, demonstrate effective communication, customer service, and time management skills.
