This position is sign-on bonus eligible! Experienced Full Time Surgical Technologists are eligible for a sign-on bonus with a one-year commitment. New Graduate and Part Time Surgical Technologists are eligible for sign-on bonus with a one-year commitment.
Job Summary:
Applies advanced surgical technology skills to assist in providing patient care in the surgical suite while maintaining a safe work environment and performing all related job responsibilities. Ensures quality patient care during the operative procedure and is constantly vigilant for the maintenance of the sterile field.
Essential Functions:
Physical Requirements:
Works with occasional intermittent noise and exposure to dust, fumes, and chemicals. Requires communication and writing skills. Physical effort includes walking, stretching, bending, climbing stairs, twisting, squatting, or kneeling. May require lengthy periods of standing. Frequent use of side vision, lifting, pushing, and pulling is necessary. Must be able to lift and support up to 35 pounds. Uses both hands and fingers for gripping, speed, and precision during equipment operation and patient movement. Vision and hearing for distances up to 20 feet are required, along with depth perception and the ability to distinguish basic colors. Ability to work long or irregular hours, rotating shifts, and be near moving equipment, with exposure to temperature changes, humidity, and Blood Borne Pathogens.
Education, Training, and Experience:
Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program or successful completion of military training as a Surgical Technologist or Operating Room Specialist. A minimum of 5 years of operating room experience in a surgical technologist role is required. Current certification is required. Meets all ST III qualifications of the Surgical Tech Ladder.
