The Surgical Technologist works under the supervision of a surgeon and registered nurse to facilitate the safe and effective conduct of invasive surgical procedures. Responsibilities include ensuring a safe operating room environment, proper equipment functioning, and conducting procedures that maximize patient safety. Surgical technologists possess expertise in sterile and aseptic techniques, human anatomy, surgical procedures, and technological tools to assist physicians in invasive therapeutic and diagnostic procedures. Job Summary

Shifts: 5-8 hours, 10:30 AM - 7:00 PM

Services: HIP, SHOULDER, KNEE, FOOT & ANKLE, ELBOW, HAND & WRIST, ORTHO CASES

Responsibilities include supporting a safe environment, leveraging diversity and inclusion, and fostering teamwork and community involvement. All team members are responsible for delivering remarkable patient experiences and adhering to safety principles.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology or Military Training (e.g., 68D - Operating Room Specialist). Online programs are not accepted.
• Previous surgical technologist experience preferred.
• Current Surgical Tech Certification preferred; new graduates must obtain certification within 12 months of hire if not certified at start.
• Ability to complete competency testing and demonstrate effective communication, customer service, and time management skills.
