Job summary

Lambstaffing seeks an experienced Surgical Tech for travel assignments in Concord, NC. Responsibilities include scrubbing across trauma, ortho, spine, robotics, and general cases in a high-volume OR.

You will join a facility with Level 3 Trauma, multiple specialties, and a busy schedule featuring weekend rotations, 7a-7p shifts, on-call duties, and a 45-minute response requirement. Valid state license and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Active state license in good standing; minimum 1 year of recent experience in the specialty.
• BLS required for clinical roles.
• Prior travel experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Scrub in trauma, ortho trauma, spine, robotics cases and general surgery.
• Maintain sterile technique and assist with case setup.
• Support OR team and manage rapid response for emergencies.
• Schedule includes weekend rotations and on-call shifts.
• Respond to requests within 45 minutes.

• Radius rule: Traveler's permanent address must be 50 miles outside of home unit

Department Information:

• 19 OR suites - 17 rooms are blocked

• Avg 50 Cases per day
• Experience: 5+ years
• Prior travel experience required

Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:

• Surgery specialties include, Trauma, ortho trauma, ortho total joints, spine, hearts, MI vascular, GYN, GYN-Oncology, Robotics (we have three), General, HPB, Bariatrics, Urology, ENT, Eyes, Pain, Plastics

Required License, National Certification, Certs (BLS, ACLS, etc.), or other position specific requirements such as Driver's License and/or Insurance:

• Surg Tech: BLS and Certification preferred but not required

Skills required:

• Experience to scrub in the following cases: Trauma, ortho trauma, ortho total joints, spine, hearts, MI vascular, GYN, GYN-Oncology, Robotics (we have three), General, HPB, Bariatrics, Urology, ENT, Eyes, Pain, Plastics
• Neuro experience is a hard stop. Must have recent and comprehensive experience with Globus, robotic/navigation, ALIFs, TLIFs, ACDFs, Later, poster/anterior cases. Pease include in interview notes how often candidate performs these cases and overall experience with them.
• Sterile Technique

Support within the Department:

• Service Line Clinical Supervisors, Charge nurses, Educators, ORAs, Unit Secretaries, Tech Engineers

Scheduling:

• Weekend rotation: every 4 th weekend
• Weekend coverage could be in the form of call or a scheduled shift - depending on the need. Scheduled shifts are 7a-7p typically. Call is either 7a-7p or 7p-7a
• Call required: Average of 6 call shifts per 6-week schedule
• 45-minute response time
• 11p-7a or 7a-7p/7p-7a on weekends
• Holiday Expectations: Travelers will work 75% of holidays
• RTO: Manager approval
• Shift times:
• various depending on needs - may be any of the following:
• 7a-7p, 9a-9p, 11a-11p
• Schedule cycle: every 6 weeks
