Job summary

SoftPath Medical seeks an experienced perioperative registered nurse for traveling assignments in Concord, NC. You will circulate in diverse surgical cases across trauma, spine, and robotics, supporting OR teams and maintaining patient safety.

The role requires a NC RN license, BLS, and at least 5 years of OR experience; CNOR is preferred. Night-shift charge nurse duties and flexible scheduling are expected. On-site work with department-based orientations and travel accommodations.

Qualifications

• CNOR preferred but not mandatory.

• Experience circulating in trauma and complex surgeries.

Responsibilities

• Circulate in trauma, orthopedic trauma, spine and other surgical cases.
• Act as charge nurse on night shifts when required.
• Assist with OR setup, sterilization and patient safety throughout procedures.
• Coordinate with surgical teams to optimize patient flow and efficiency.
• Adhere to departmental orientation and travel assignments.

Surgical specialties include trauma, orthopedic trauma, orthopedic total joints, spine, cardiac, myocardial infarction vascular, gynecology, gynecologic oncology, robotics (three systems available), general surgery, hepatopancreatobiliary (HPB), bariatrics, urology, ENT, ophthalmology, pain management, and plastics.

• For night shift OR RNs: charge nurse experience and scrubbing proficiency are required

Scheduling

• Weekend rotation every 4th weekend

• Call requirement averages 6 shifts per 6-week schedule
• 45-minute response time expected during call
• Holiday work expectation: travelers will work 75% of holidays
• Return to Office (RTO) requires manager approval
