Responsibilities

• Prepares and maintains the operating room for procedures with sterile technique.
• Assists the surgical team by passing instruments and supplies efficiently.
• Handles instruments and ensures proper sterilization and inspection.
• Performs counts with the circulating nurse to ensure patient safety.
• Assists in patient positioning, draping, and transfer as needed.
• Maintains physician preference cards and ensures availability of supplies.
• cleans, reprocesses, and sterilizes instruments per protocols.
• Restocks supplies and readies rooms for subsequent cases.
• Performs other duties and maintains reliable attendance.
