Qualifications

• High School graduation or GED required.
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Surgical Tech program graduate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists circulating nurses in set up of surgical procedure according to physician preference and hospital protocol.
• Handles laboratory specimens according to hospital protocol and avoid mishandling.
• Assists the Surgeon during procedures as requested.
• Retrieves necessary equipment and supplies.
• Assists in patient and equipment preparation.
• Performs follow-up actions as directed.
