Job summary

Iredell Health System is seeking a Surgical Technician to support the operating room team under the guidance of the RN. This full-time role (36 hours per week) is scheduled Monday through Friday with call, in Statesville, NC.

Sign-on bonus eligibility is included with this position. The successful candidate will be a graduate of an approved Surgical Technician program, possess surgical asepsis knowledge, and hold current BLS/CPR certification from ARC/AHA, with the ability to lift up to 30

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Graduate of an approved program for Surgical Technicians.
• Thorough knowledge of principles and practice of surgical asepsis.
• BLS (CPR) certification through the American Red Cross and American Heart Association.
• Successful completion of hospital and unit-specific orientation which includes age and population-specific skills for the area of practice.
• Must possess full range of body motion to pass basic FIT test and be able to lift up to 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Care and treatment of patients in the operating room under RN guidance.
• Support the surgical team and maintain sterile technique during procedures.
• Assist with unit-specific orientation and adhere to protocols.
• Ensure safety and proper handling of equipment and supplies.
