Job summary

ICFAI in Statesville, NC is seeking a Surgical Technician to join the operating room team. You will assist with patient care and collaborate with RNs to ensure safe and efficient procedures in a fast-paced environment.

The position follows a 6:30AM - 3:00PM, Monday–Friday schedule with call, full-time (36 hours/week). Requires completion of an approved Surgical Technician program, BLS/CPR certification, and solid knowledge of surgical asepsis; candidates must have the stamina to lift up to 30

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Graduate of an approved program for Surgical Technicians.
• Possesses a thorough knowledge of principles and practice of surgical asepsis.
• BLS (CPR) certification through the American Red Cross and American Heart Association
• Successful completion of a hospital and unit-specific orientation which includes age and population-specific skills
• Must possess full range of body motion to pass basic FIT test for position to include walking, kneeling, standing, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, reaching, and sitting for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds

Responsibilities

• The Surgical Technician assists in the operating room under the guidance of the RN and/or RN Clinical Coordinator.
• Maintains access to demographics and limited clinical data relevant to patient encounters.
• May have access to medication storage areas related to job responsibilities.
