Job summary

Riverside University Health System Medical Center in Moreno Valley is seeking an experienced Surgical Technician to join the MSC Operating Room Team. This role supports Registered Nurses and the surgical team by maintaining sterile technique, handling instruments, and assisting surgeons during procedures to ensure patient safety and timely operations.

The ideal candidate will have at least one year of OR experience and completion of a Surgical Technician Program.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Surgical Technician Program (verification submitted at time of application/interview).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required by American Heart Association.
• Certification as Surgical Technologist is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Arrange sterile setup for procedures and pass instruments to surgeons and nurses.
• Prepare sterile supplies and assist in cleanup of the operating room.
• Check equipment placement, operation, and restock supplies for procedures.
• Assist in monitoring aseptic technique throughout the intraoperative period.
• Verify patient identity, allergies, NPO status and related details.
