Job summary

Kindred Hospital Riverside is seeking an Operating Room Technician to support surgeons with sterile instruments and supplies throughout procedures. Under RN supervision, you will assist in maintaining aseptic technique and readying the OR for surgery in Perris, CA.

The role requires 12–18 months of acute care OR experience; CST certification is preferred, and high school completion is required. Join a 40-bed facility with comprehensive patient care and collaborative team dynamics.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Successful completion of Operating Room Technician training program or equivalent.
• CST certification preferred.
• 12 to 18 months of acute care operating room experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain sterile fields by preparing instruments, supplies, and equipment for procedures.
• Ensure cleanliness of the surgical suite and check equipment.
• Hand sterile instruments to the surgeon during procedures while maintaining aseptic technique.
• Keep track of solution usage and calculate blood loss.
• Verify sponge and needle counts before, during, and after surgery.
• Set up and strip down the operating room before and after procedures under supervision.
