Job summary

Jefferson Health is seeking a Non-Certified Surgical Technician for our operating rooms. The role supports decontamination and sterile supply areas, ensuring a sterile field and assisting the surgical team throughout preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative care.

Hours are 11am–7pm, with responsibilities including instrument handling, report to relief personnel, and maintaining a safe operating environment for diverse patient populations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of a surgical technician training program.
• 1 year Grandfathered/Non Certified Surgical Techs must complete minimum 15 hours CEU in 1 year and provide proof.

Responsibilities

• Maintain/secure sterile field and assist intraoperative team.
• Inspect OR for cleanliness and set up equipment and supplies for procedures.
• Participate in team time out and support patient safety and quality care.
