Job summary

Jefferson Health is seeking a Certified Surgical Technician for a part-time, 20-hour-per-week role at the Honickman Center in CC. The CST will support the intraoperative team, maintain the sterile field, and assist with gowning/gloving and instrument handling.

Responsibilities include preoperative setup, assisting in maintaining safety standards, and mentoring other staff as needed, with a focus on patient-centered care during perioperative processes.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a surgical technician program or equivalent training.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain sterile technique and safety.
• Proficiency in communicating with the surgical team and patients.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain the sterile field for procedures.
• Assist with gowning and gloving of the surgical team.
• Counts of sharps and instruments to ensure patient safety.
• Support preceptees and other team members as needed.
• Maintain clean, safe operating room environment.
