Job summary

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates ability to safely and competently perform all aspects of surgical techniques/procedures.
• Demonstrates knowledge of the clinical information system and applies principles to patient documentation.
• Serves as a role model and assists new staff members or students.
• Serves as a preceptor for new employees/students in the scrub role.
• Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of patient privacy rights; maintains confidentiality.
• Demonstrates good customer service in managing patient-family expectations.
• Demonstrates tact, sensitivity and discretion.
• Demonstrates integration of job-specific competencies.
