Job summary

MemorialCare is seeking a Perioperative Patient Care Assistant in Laguna Hills, CA. This full-time role supports the Surgery Services department as an unlicensed caregiver under RN supervision, assisting with patient care, admission, transfer and discharge processes.

The position emphasizes patient safety and communication among care teams, with a day shift (8 hours) and a pay range of $23.00 to $31.57 per hour. A $1,500 signing bonus is available for external hires who meet requirements.

Qualifications

• One-year acute care experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills preferred.
• High School Graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Certified Nursing Assistant preferred.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support certification required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge of the clinical and information technology systems.
• Safely and competently perform assigned activities.
• Maintains confidentiality of all medical, financial and sensitive material.
• Contributes to an effective, clean and safe working environment.
• Demonstrates tact, sensitivity and discretion in order to maintain good relations with others.
• Follows directions and communicates with the registered nurse and other members of the healthcare team in an organized, clear and timely manner.
