Job summary

Saddleback Memorial Medical Center in Laguna Hills, CA, seeks a Surgical Technician II to join Surgery Services. This full-time evening position provides 12-hour shifts, with pay range $33.79–$49.00 per hour and a $3,000 sign-on bonus for external hires.

The role supports the surgical team under RN/MD supervision, maintains instruments, adheres to aseptic technique, and assists with patient flow and documentation.

Qualifications

• Surgical scrub experience in multiple specialties; CST preferred.
• 2 years acute care surgical tech experience with CST certification, or 10 years without CST.
• Office/computer skills for order entry and documentation preferred.
• Proficient in medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Safely and competently perform surgical techniques and procedures.
• Maintain clinical information systems and document patient data.
• Serve as preceptor and mentor for new staff and students.
• Ensure patient privacy and confidentiality of information.
• Provide excellent customer service and manage expectations.
• Adhere to policies and maintain punctual attendance.
• Support on-call requirements and multitask effectively.
• Prioritize tasks and support patient flow in the department.
