Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program preferred.
• Completion of UofL Health Surgical Technologist training program preferred.
• Military training in surgical technology accepted.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares operative area and maintains sterile field.
• Passes instruments and counts supplies during procedures.
• Handles specimens as directed by surgeon.
• Sets up operating room and assists with turnover.
• Ensures compliance with safety, privacy, and organizational policies.
