Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Surgical Technology training completed at an accredited program preferred.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operative area and maintain a sterile field throughout the procedure.
• Pass instruments, sponges, and sutures to the surgeon and assistants; count needles and instruments.
• Receive and handle surgical specimens as directed by the surgeon.
• Prepare the operating room for cases and assist with turnover and setup.
• Restock operating room and supply cabinets per procedures; assist in patient transfer as directed.
