Qualifications

• Three to five years of related work experience as a Surgical Technician in Maryland.
• NBSTSA Certification required or eligible.
• Experience in instrument sterilization, surgical supplies management, wound exposure and closure, surgical computer, and patient and team scrubbing.
• Teaching experience preferred (student teaching acceptable).

Responsibilities

• Plans and implements a CTE instructional program for health occupations.
• Manages student behavior and assesses student achievement.
• Prepares students to sit for NBSTSA and CNA certifications.
• Maintains student records and communicates progress to parents.
