Job summary

Baltimore City Public Schools seeks a Vocational- Construction Trades Pathway teacher focused on Manufacturing to deliver a high school CTE program, guiding students in skills-based learning and safety.

The role involves preparing students for industry certification exams (NIMS), supervising labs and equipment, analyzing progress, and collaborating with colleagues to develop career pathways and internship opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in CTE or related field or 2 years occupational experience in teaching area.
• 3 years of industry experience required for Maryland state certification eligibility.
• OSHA 30 preferred.
• Experience in machining/manufacturing areas preferred.

Responsibilities

• Instructs students in occupation-specific knowledge using lectures, labs, and shop activities.
• Plans and implements instructional strategies and materials aligned to outcomes.
• Utilizes multimedia and technology to enhance learning.
• Prepares students for industry certifications (NIMS).
• Monitors student progress and maintains assessments/documentation.
• Collaborates with staff to develop and maintain career pathways and internship opportunities.
