Job summary

Physician Partners of America seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist to prepare instruments and supplies for operations, maintain sterile technique, and assist the surgical team during procedures. The CST supports instrument counts, gowning, draping, and equipment positioning, while staying vigilant about sterility and safety throughout the operation.

Responsibilities extend to assisting with terminal cleaning, prepping ORs for subsequent cases, and participating in debriefing for quality

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an approved Surgical Technologist program with certification.
• Current Basic Life Support certification.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and compliance policies.

Responsibilities

• Collects supplies needed for surgical procedure and checks to ensure quality.
• Performs the surgical scrub; dons gown and gloves.
• Prepares instruments for procedure using sterile techniques.
• Performs counts with the team and assists with gowning/gloving.
• Establishes the sterile field and drapes the patient as needed.
• Anticipates needs and passes instruments during the procedure.
• Coordinates robotic arms/instruments during endoscopic surgery as directed.
• Maintains sterile technique and assists in terminal cleaning after procedures.
