Job summary

Northern Montana Hospital (NMH) is seeking a Surgical Technician to support the operating room under RN guidance. Responsibilities include aseptic setup, instrument handling, and assisting physicians during procedures.

The role emphasizes patient safety, sterile technique, and coordination with the surgical team. Sign-on bonus of $5,000 for certified surgical techs; salary commensurate with up to 10 years of experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Current BLS Certification.
• Current CST Certification (preferred).
• Must be able to make sound judgement.
• Ability to pass Background Check and Drug Screen.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the OR for procedures, assist the surgeon, and maintain a sterile field.
• Clean, disinfect, and sterilize equipment; assist with instrumentation and endoscopy readiness.
• Transport patients to and from the OR; document occurrences and assist as scrub tech as needed.
