Pipestone County Medical Center is seeking qualified surgical team members to join our operating room staff. The role includes assisting the surgeon during procedures, maintaining sterile technique, and preparing the OR for cases.

Qualifications

• Assists surgeon by passing instruments and maintaining sterile field.
• Performs correct sponge, instrument, and needle counts.
• Assists with tissue handling and specimen processing as directed.

Responsibilities

• Assist the surgeon during surgery by passing instruments and other equipment in a prescribed manner.
• Responsible for performing a correct sponge, instrument, and needle count.
• In collaboration with the nurse, handle tissue specimens correctly.
