Job summary

NueHealth in Ohio is seeking a Surgical Technologist to fill the surgical scrub role across diverse procedures. You will assist physicians and nurses under supervision, support instrument handling, and ensure adherence to hospital policies and infection control standards.

The role requires a Surgical Technologist certification, a high school diploma, BLS, and preferred 2 years of OR experience; you will contribute to safe patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent required.
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist required.
• Two years previous experience as an operating room technician desired.
• Current BLS.

Responsibilities

• Decision making concerning equipment and/or instrumentation sterilization.
• Bio hazardous waste disposal; housekeeping duties.
• Patient care and patient flow; ensures confidentiality and safety.
• Assists surgeon in scrubbed cases and prepares supplies for upcoming procedures.
• Maintains sterile technique and uses proper hand scrub and gowning procedures.
• Transports instruments and ensures room readiness for each case.
