Mercy Regional Medical Center in Durango, CO is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to assist surgeons and nurses by maintaining a sterile OR, preparing instruments, and passing supplies during procedures. The role emphasizes attention to detail and calm communication in a fast-paced surgical environment.

The position requires certification, BLS, and Colorado DORA registration, with on-call duties and a sign-on bonus and relocation assistance for eligible hires.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Completion of an approved Surgical Technician program.
• Current BLS through the American Heart Association.
• Current registration with the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) as a surgical technologist for associates working in Colorado.
• Certification in Surgical Technology from NBSTSA or NCCT.

Responsabilités

• Maintain sterile technique throughout the procedure.
• Perform counts with circulator before incision and as needed.
• Prepare back table and mayo stand per surgeon's preference card.
• Set up sterile table with instruments, supplies, equipment, and medications/solutions.
• Provide on-call coverage outside standard hours per policy.
• Anticipate problems and prepare for emergent cases.
