Job summary

Animas Surgical Hospital in Durango, CO is seeking a Surgical Technologist (Certified Surgical Technologist) to establish and maintain a sterile field, prepare equipment and supplies for procedures, and assist with surgical patient care under the supervision of an OR RN.

This role requires CPR certification, DORA registration, and a high school diploma with completion of an accredited surgical technology program; two years of surgical experience preferred. Competitive pay and benefits offered.

• CPR certification and DORA registration required.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain a sterile field; prepare instruments, equipment and supplies for procedures.
• Assist with surgical patient care under supervision of an OR RN or physician.
• Perform room turnover and ensure sterile processing and aseptic technique.
• Verify supplies and equipment for each case and address deficiencies as needed.
• Support with counts of instruments, sharps and sponges and maintain patient safety.

Education
