Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Colorado Surgical Registry is required.
• BLS certification is required.
• Surgical Technologist State License is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist physician with operative procedures efficiently and effectively.
• Anticipate surgeon's needs before and during procedures.
• Maintain sterility of supplies and instruments during setup.
• Assist circulating nurse and team in maintaining sterile environment.
• Count sponges, needles, and instruments pre-operatively and intra-operatively.
• Gown and glove surgeons and assistants.
• Handle specimens and coordinate with pathology as needed.
• Ensure safety practices and proper use of equipment.
