Job summary

Piedmont Mountainside Hospital is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join our team in a scrub role. The position involves patient care duties with increased responsibility, working closely with licensed staff and under the direction of a registered nurse.

The ideal candidate will have a Surgical Technology program graduate, an HS diploma or GED, and BCLS certification on hire; CST certification is preferred and prior surgical tech experience is valued.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required.
• Graduate of a Surgical Technology program Required.
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist Required.
• 3 years of surgical tech experience Required.
• BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required.
• CST - Certified Surgical Technologist Preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs necessary duties in scrub role.
• Provides patient care with higher level critical thinking and problem solving.
• Functions in partnership with licensed staff.
• Performs patient care duties for clients of various age groups under the direction of a registered nurse.

Schedule: 6:45am-5:15pm Every Saturday-Sunday; 2 Additional Weekdays (4 10-hour shifts); Call is Required
