Job summary

Piedmont Mountainside Hospital in Jasper, GA seeks a Surgical Technologist to support the scrub role and assist in patient care under RN supervision. Schedule includes extended weekends with multiple shifts and call requirements. This position emphasizes teamwork with licensed staff to deliver safe, high-quality care.

The successful candidate will have a surgical technology credential, a high school diploma or GED, and BCLS certification upon hire. CST is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Surgical Technology program required.
• Certification as Surgical Technologist or 3 years of experience required.

Responsibilities

Schedule: 6:45am-5:15pm Saturday-Sunday; 2 Additional Weekdays (4 10-hour shifts); Call is Required

Performs necessary duties in scrub role. Takes on greater responsibility in providing patient care demonstrating a higher level critical thinking and problem solving skills. Functions in partnership with licensed staff. Performs patient care duties for clients of various age groups under the direction of a registered nurse.

Qualifications:

Education

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required and
• Graduate of a Surgical Technology program Required

Work Experience

• Certification as a Surgical Technologist Required or
• 3 years of surgical tech experience Required

Licenses and Certifications

• BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required
• CST - Certified Surgical Technologist Preferred
