Job summary

Providence Covenant Children's Hosp in Texas seeks a Surgical Technologist to join the operating room team. Under the supervision of the Registered Nurse Circulator, you will maintain the sterile field and pass instruments, sutures and sponges during surgeries.

You will ensure aseptic technique to prevent contamination and assist the RN with circulating duties, supporting a compassionate, patient-focused care culture across our West Texas/Eastern NM network.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Surgical Technology or Armed Services Surgical Technology program.
• National Certified Surgical Technologist - National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting upon hire
• National Tech in Surgery - Certified - National Center for Competency Testing upon hire
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire

Responsibilities

• Maintain the sterile field in the operating room.
• Pass instruments, sutures, and sponges during surgery.
• Ensure aseptic technique to prevent contamination and infection.
• Assist the Registered Nurse Circulator with circulating duties.

Education
