CHRISTUS Health in Santa Fe, NM is seeking a Surgical Instrument Technician to prepare and pass instruments and operate within a sterile field alongside the surgical team. You will assist physicians and nurses, use physician preference cards for case setup, and ensure aseptic practices and safety.

This full-time role requires a high school diploma, BLS certification, and 2+ years' experience; training on instrument care, decontamination, and OR sanitation. Schedule is 5 days, 8 hours.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2 or more years of experience preferred.
• BLS required.

Responsabilités

• Establishes and maintains the sterile field and assists the physician by passing instruments and sutures.
• Uses the physician preference card as the starting point for pulling cases and setting up the OR.
• Maintains aseptic practices and a safe environment throughout the patient care process.
• Demonstrates competency in handling all surgical supplies, instruments, and equipment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
