AdventHealth in La Grange, IL is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to support sterile technique and instrument handling during operative procedures. You will prep sterile fields, pass instruments, verify counts, and assist the surgical team in patient care.

Requirements include BLS and CST certification, 2+ years of experience preferred. Day shift; 5/8s or 4/10s with call. Full-time with benefits from Day One; sign-on bonus up to $3,000.

Qualifications

• Interpersonal skills required.
• Validation skills required.
• Knowledge of sterile technique, instrumentation, equipment, and sterile field setup.
• Knowledge of sterilization techniques.
• Ability to anticipate emergencies of Specialty Call Team.
• Ability to organize, promote, and conduct in-services on unit.
• Proficient in at least 2 surgical specialties (preferred).

Responsabilités

• Check supplies and equipment for surgical procedures.
• Scrub, gown, and glove for procedures; set up sterile table and meds for procedures.
• Assist surgeon and team; maintain sterile technique.
• Pass instruments to surgeon; help with final counts before incision closure.
• Assist with room terminal cleaning and prep for next case.
• Prepare sterile dressings and instrument sterilization.
