Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist for the Main Operating Room in Skokie, IL. The role offers a 40-hour work week with a 7:00am-3:30pm schedule and on-call rotation.

A sign-on bonus is available for qualified applicants, with a $5K bonus for no experience and $10K for 1+ year experts. Responsibilities include selecting instrumentation, exchanging trays, scrubbing in, and supporting surgeons throughout procedures.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved surgical technology program.
• Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
• Previous experience in surgery or on-the-job experience; certification in surgical technology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identifies and obtains the required surgical instrumentation, equipment and supplies for procedures based on physician requests and patient needs.
• Exchanges drug trays as needed under the direction of licensed medical staff.
• Inspects, cares for and handles surgical instrumentation and equipment properly.
• Performs scrub responsibilities according to physician’s preference and hospital policies and procedures.
• Anticipates and is attentive to the surgeon’s needs for instruments, ligatures, sponges, irrigation, etc. during surgery.
• Communicates effectively with patients of all ages to provide a safe environment.
