AdventHealth in La Grange, IL is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to support sterile technique and instrument handling during operative procedures. You will prep sterile fields, pass instruments, verify counts, and assist the surgical team in patient care.

Requirements include BLS and CST certification, 2+ years of experience preferred. Day shift; 5/8s or 4/10s with call. Full-time with benefits from Day One; sign-on bonus up to $3,000.

Job Description:

*Day shift: Either 5 / 8s or 4 / 10s. With call

Up to 3k sign on bonus

Checks supplies and equipment needed for surgical procedures.Scrubs, gowns, and gloves for surgical procedures. Sets up sterile table with instruments, supplies, equipment, and medications/solutions needed for procedures, displaying knowledge of procedure and patient positioning. Performs appropriate counts with circulator prior to the operation and before the incision is closed. Gowns and gloves surgeon and assistants. Assists other team members with terminal cleaning of the room and prepping for the next patient. Handles surgical specimens with 100% accuracy. Recognizes and responds immediately to emergency situations appropriately. Performs other duties as assigned. Helps in draping sterile field. Passes instruments and supplies to surgeon during procedures. Maintains the highest standard of sterile technique during procedures.Prepares sterile dressings and cleans and prepares instruments for terminal sterilization.
