Job summary

Piedmont Augusta Hospital is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support the scrub role in the operating room. You will assist in patient care, maintain sterile technique, and collaborate with nurses and physicians to ensure safe procedures.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, graduate from a Surgical Technology program, and hold or seek certification as a Surgical Technologist (BCLS required; CST preferred).

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of Surgical Technology program required.
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist required or 3 years of surgical tech experience.
• BCLS - Basic Life Support required upon hire; CST preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs necessary duties in scrub role.
• Demonstrates higher level critical thinking and problem solving.
• Functions in partnership with licensed staff.
• Performs patient care duties for clients of various age groups under the direction of a registered nurse.
