Job summary

Piedmont Macon North is seeking a part-time Surgical Technologist to join the scrub team. The role involves supporting patient care under supervision, performing surgical tech duties, and working closely with licensed staff.

The ideal candidate will have a surgical technology program diploma, a GED/HS diploma, and either CST certification or at least 3 years of relevant experience. BCLS certification is required upon hire.

Responsibilities

Performs necessary duties in scrub role. Takes on greater responsibility in providing patient care demonstrating a higher level critical thinking and problem solving skills. Functions in partnership with licensed staff. Performs patient care duties for clients of various age groups under the direction of a registered nurse.

Qualifications

Education

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required and
• Graduate of a Surgical Technology program Required

Work Experience

• Certification as a Surgical Technologist Required or
• 3 years of surgical tech experience Required

Licenses and Certifications

• BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required
• CST - Certified Surgical Technologist Preferred
