Job summary

Piedmont Mountainside Hospital is seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist to serve in a scrub role supporting patient care across surgical teams. You will work under the direction of a registered nurse, handling instruments and maintaining sterile technique.

Candidate should have a Surgical Technology program completion, a GED, and at least 3 years of experience. BCLS is required at hire, CST certification is preferred, with opportunities for growth and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Candidate must have GED or higher and a graduate of a Surgical Technology program.
• BCLS - Basic Life Support on hire is required; CST is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs necessary duties in scrub role with increasing responsibility.
• Provides patient care in partnership with licensed staff and RN supervision.

Responsibilities

Performs necessary duties in scrub role. Takes on greater responsibility in providing patient care demonstrating a higher level critical thinking and problem solving skills. Functions in partnership with licensed staff. Performs patient care duties for clients of various age groups under the direction of a registered nurse.

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required and
• Graduate of a Surgical Technology program Required

Work Experience

• Certification as a Surgical Technologist Required or
• 3 years of surgical tech experience Required

Licenses and Certifications

• CST - Certified Surgical Technologist Preferred
