Job summary

Ardent Health Services in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a day shift, full-time Surgical Technician to join our operating room team.

You will assist surgeons with procedures under the direct supervision of a registered nurse, convey sterile instruments, and help ensure patient safety and compliance with policy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, sterile technique and medical terminology.
• Proficient in OR instruments and supplies.
• Six months of operating room or ambulatory surgery experience.
• BLS certification to be obtained within 14 days of hire/transfer.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons with surgical procedures in the operating room under the direct supervision of a registered nurse, conveying sterile instruments and supplies used in basic to complex procedures.
• Adheres to policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety.
