Advocate Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist for the 3rd shift, 40 hours per week, at the Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital - Surgery Room. Responsibilities include sterile field preparation, instrument handling, and assisting physicians during procedures.

Requirements include graduation from a surgical technologist program or 2 years scrub experience, CPR certification, and obtaining CST certification within 3 months. On-call, night, weekend and rotating holidays may apply.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a surgical technologist program or related scrub experience.
• CPR certification is required and the employee must obtain CST certification within 3 months.
• On-call availability and ability to work rotating shifts as described.

Responsabilités

• Completely prepares sterile field and maintains sterility during procedures.
• Assist physician with suctioning, retracting, and handling instruments as directed.
• Serve as a preceptor and share knowledge with team members.
• Maintain patient safety and comply with hospital policies.
• Ensure instrument and equipment readiness and proper turnover after cases.
• Participate in Time Out and ensure team agreement before proceeding.
