Job summary

Springfield Memorial Hospital is seeking a part-time Surgical Technologist for the Baylis Day Surgery unit. The role supports multiple specialties with a Monday–Friday schedule, no weekends, no major holidays, and no call. A $20,000 sign-on bonus is offered.

Shifts run 6:45am–3:15pm (two 8-hour shifts per week). The position emphasizes sterile technique, instrument handling, and patient safety in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

Qualifications

• 2-year Surgical Technologist program or equivalent required.
• CPR certification required.
• Surgical Technologist certification preferred.
• Experience in multiple surgical specialties preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs scrub technologist duties for scheduled surgeries in Baylis Day Surgery Operating Room.
• Assists with draping and instrument setup for surgeries.
• Maintains sterile technique and follows sterilization procedures.
• Relays accurate specimen identification and assists in instrument cleanup.
