Job summary

Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children is seeking a Surgical Tech II for day shift. The role focuses on sterile technique and proficiency with specialized instrumentation for pediatric procedures.

In this full-time position, you will support perioperative care in a dynamic department and collaborate with anesthesia, PACU, and related teams to ensure safe, efficient surgeries for children. Competitive benefits apply.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Surgical Technology training program; or Orlando Health training program.
• Maintains current BLS/HealthCare Provider certification.
• Two years surgical tech experience; CST may substitute.

Responsibilities

• Reviews preference and verifies case cart before case.
• Maintains orderly surgical field and passes instruments to surgeon.
• Anticipates and prioritizes needs during procedures.
• Counts sponges, needles and instruments as required.
• Maintains surgical specimens for pathology evaluation.
• Assists in ordering and stocking specialty supplies.
• Transports items, equipment and medications across the facility.
• Maintains attendance per Orlando Health policies.
