Job summary

CHOC Children's is seeking a Surgical Scrub Technician II for day shifts in Orange, California. The role supports the surgical team by preparing instruments, assisting the surgeon and anesthesia staff, and ensuring safe, efficient operative care.

Under direct supervision, you will manage instruments, anticipate needs, and may mentor new technicians and students. A High School diploma and Surgical Technology training are required; BLS certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Surgical Technology program or military training.
• Candidate should communicate professionally in English and work calmly under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeon, physician, and anesthesia team during procedures.
• Handle surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment.
• Anticipate needs of the surgeon to ensure safe, quality patient care.
• May precept new technicians and students in the department.
