AdventHealth in Overland Park, KS is seeking a certified Surgical Technologist to support the OR team. You will prepare instruments, assist surgeons, and maintain strict sterile technique to ensure patient safety and smooth procedures.

Required is a high school diploma and surgical technology training, with CST/TS-C credentials preferred. The role involves heavy collaboration, attention to detail, and the ability to respond quickly in emergencies.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical or vocational training in surgical technology.
• NBSTSA CST, TS-C, or equivalent certification required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Checks supplies and equipment needed for surgical procedures.
• Scrubs, gowns, and gloves for surgical procedures.
• Sets up sterile table with instruments, supplies, equipment, and medications/solutions.
• Performs counts with circulator prior to incision and before closure.
• Gowns and gloves surgeon and assistants.
• Assists with terminal cleaning and prepping for the next patient.
• Maintains sterile technique and prepares instruments for sterilization.
