Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent; Surgical Tech credential preferred.
• Associate or technical training in Surgical Technology strongly preferred.
• Experience with sterile technique and instrument handling is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeon and first assistant during procedures (sponging, suctioning, passing instruments).
• Maintain sterile field and aseptic technique throughout operations.
• Gathers supplies, opens instruments, and ensures equipment readiness for procedures.
• Supervise and train junior staff; enforce safety and regulatory standards.
• Support room turnover and patient verification during time-out procedures.
