Job summary

Surgicenter of Kansas City, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Surgical Tech to support operating room procedures under RN supervision. You will scrub and assist surgeons, maintain asepsis, and contribute to efficient case turnover across orthopedic and urology cases.

Ideal candidates have a surgical technology credential and at least one year in an OR setting, with BCLS certification. Join a high-volume outpatient center focused on safe, quality care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program (preferred).
• One year experience in an operating room setting (preferably in an ambulatory surgery center).
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program as required per facility practice and state regulatory requirement; otherwise preferred.
• Valid BCLS Certification upon employment. Online certification not acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparing the operative suite: gather supplies, equipment, and instruments.
• Maintain surgical asepsis in handling instruments, sponges, sutures, drains, needles, and dressings.
• Support turnover of OR suites between cases and dispose of trash and linens, clean equipment and surfaces.
• Prepare procedure room for next day by setting up equipment and reporting shortages to supervisor.
