AdventHealth in Lenexa, KS seeks a Surgical Technologist for day shifts in a part-time capacity. You will scrub and gown for procedures, maintain sterile technique, and assist the surgical team across multiple specialties.

Qualifications

• Interpersonal skills required for teamwork and patient interaction.
• Validation skills for procedures and instrument handling.
• Knowledge of sterile technique, instrumentation and sterile field setup.
• Familiarity with sterilization techniques and equipment.
• Ability to recognize emergencies and respond appropriately.
• Ability to organize and conduct unit in-services.
• Proficiency in at least 2 surgical specialties (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Check supplies and equipment for surgical procedures.
• Scrub, gown, and glove for procedures.
• Set up sterile table with instruments and medications.
• Count and verify items with circulator before incision.
• Gown gloves for surgeon and assistants.
• Assist team with terminal room cleaning and prep for next patient.
• Handle surgical specimens with accuracy.
• Recognize and respond to emergencies.
• Drape sterile field and pass instruments during surgery.
• Maintain sterile technique throughout procedures.
• Prepare sterile dressings and instruments for sterilization.
