Job summary

AdventHealth seeks a skilled Surgical Technologist to support operating room procedures at our Florida facility. Responsibilities include setting up sterile tables, passing instruments, and assisting surgeons while maintaining sterile technique and patient safety.

Requirements include high school diploma or equivalent, technical/vocational training, and CST/BLS certifications. Prior OR experience is preferred for efficient teamwork and emergency readiness.

Qualifications

• Candidates must be able to perform sterile technique and maintain sterile fields.
• Experience with instrument handling, patient positioning, and counts prior to incision.
• Certification in BLS or CST/N BSTSA variants required.

Responsibilities

• Set up sterile field with instruments, supplies, and medications.
• Assist surgeon by passing instruments and maintaining sterile technique.
• Prepare dressings and terminal sterilization of instruments.
• Help with draping and terminal cleaning of the room.
• Recognize and respond to emergencies during procedures.
